On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Tamil Nadu’s famous pilgrimage site Rameswaram on Saturday. Here he offered prayers at the Ramanathaswamy temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. PM Modi said that he is feeling special joy by coming to Rameswaram on this auspicious day. Earlier, he inaugurated India’s first vertical lift sea bridge ‘Pamban Bridge’, which will strengthen connectivity in the southern part of the country.
PM Modi said- inspiration of good governance is the foundation of nation building
On the occasion of Ram Navami, PM Modi said that today a grand Tilak was done with the first rays of the sun in the temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, which is a matter of good fortune for the countrymen. He said that the life of Lord Shri Ram and the inspiration of good governance received from his kingdom is still the strongest foundation for the nation building of India. During this, PM Modi said that his government is continuously working to improve ‘Ease of Living’ and connectivity.
New bridges have been built in all four corners of the country, now the Pamban Bridge is ready in the south
PM Modi said that the infrastructure has been strengthened in all four corners of India. The world’s highest railway bridge ‘Chenab Bridge’ has been built in Jammu and Kashmir in the north, the country’s longest sea bridge ‘Atal Setu’ is ready in Mumbai in the west, ‘Bogibeel Bridge’ has been constructed in Assam in the east and now the ‘Pamban Bridge’ connecting Rameswaram in the south is ready. This bridge is one of the few vertical lift bridges in the world. This will facilitate both railway and sea traffic.
Three times more funds for the development of Tamil Nadu: PM Modi
In his address, Prime Minister Modi said that the Central Government has provided three times more funds to Tamil Nadu than before 2014. This has given a boost to industry, infrastructure and new employment opportunities in the state. He said that the overall development of Tamil Nadu is an important step towards a developed India. The Prime Minister also said that the dream of making India a developed nation will be realised only when the potential of every corner of the country comes to the fore.
