Tata Motors is gearing up for the launch of the Tata Curv CNG variant, which has recently been spotted during road testing in Pune, India. The sighting confirms that the company is preparing to introduce a CNG version of its popular coupe SUV. The Curv has been one of the most awaited models from Tata Motors , and the addition of the CNG version is expected to attract more eco-conscious customers. Let’s find out what we can expect from the upcoming Tata Curv CNG.
Design and Features
The design of the Tata Curv CNG will remain largely similar to its petrol and diesel counterparts, retaining its sleek and modern coupe SUV styling. However, Tata Motors is expected to include some exciting new features in the CNG variant. These are likely to include a 360-degree camera, auto park assist and dual-zone climate control. These features are expected to be accessible through easily navigable controls on the dashboard, making the driving experience more convenient and premium.

Under the hood, the Tata Curv CNG will feature a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This engine is expected to produce 99 bhp of power and 170 Nm of torque. The addition of the CNG kit might slightly alter the power and torque figures. The engine will come with both manual and automatic gearbox options, offering flexibility for different driving preferences. Tata Motors will also use its advanced twin-cylinder technology in the Curv CNG, which helps maximize boot space despite the inclusion of the CNG kit. This technology, which was previously seen in the Tata Altroz CNG, will ensure that the practicality of the SUV is not compromised.
Safety, Features and Expected Launch
The Tata Curv CNG is expected to come with a range of safety features, making it a safe and reliable option for buyers. The SUV will feature 6 airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Brake Assist and disc brakes. Apart from this, the Curv CNG will feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 9-speaker JBL sound system, which will give a better experience in the car. As for the launch, Tata Motors is expected to introduce the Curv CNG in India by the end of 2024, with an expected price of around Rs 10 lakh. This price will make it a competitive option in its segment, offering customers a good mix of performance, features and eco-friendliness.
