A tragic incident occurred today, February 22, 2025, in Telangana’s Nagarkurnool district, when a section of the under-construction Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel collapsed. Reports indicate that five to eight workers are feared to be trapped under the rubble. In response, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed the district collector, superintendent of police, fire services, and irrigation officials to begin immediate rescue operations.
