Google has recently launched its new smartphone Pixel 9A. The first sale of this phone is going to start tomorrow i.e. 16 April 2025. The sale of this phone will start on Flipkart at 12 noon. At present, only “Coming Soon” is written on the site, but the date of sale is confirmed.
Features of Google Pixel 9A
Many major upgrades are seen in Google Pixel 9A. It has Google’s new Tensor G4 processor, which provides smooth and fast performance. For power, this smartphone has a 5100mAh battery, which also supports 23W wire charging and Qi wireless charging. Pixel 9A has Android 15 operating system and Google has promised to provide up to 7 years of OS and security updates in it. Apart from this, advanced AI tools like Gemini AI and Google Assistant are also available in it.
Camera setup and display
Talking about the camera, Google Pixel 9A has a 48MP main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide lens. The main camera can also take macro shots. There is a 13MP selfie camera on the front, which is considered great for video calls and portraits. The phone now has a larger 6.3-inch AMOLED display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate and 2700 nits brightness.
Price and competition
The Google Pixel 9a has been priced at ₹49,999 in India. The phone is available in only one variant, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone will directly compete with the iPhone 16e, which starts at ₹59,900. However, it is worth noting that the 256GB version of the iPhone 16e is priced at ₹69,900, which is ₹20,000 more expensive than the Pixel 9a.
Competing smartphones
Pixel 9A will compete directly with Apple iPhone 16e, which is considered to be the company’s cheapest model. This phone has a 48-megapixel single camera and its starting price is ₹ 59,900. Apart from this, Google Pixel 9A can also get a tough challenge from Samsung Galaxy S25. This Samsung phone has 12GB RAM and 4000mAh battery, as well as it has a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel selfie camera.
