In a setback for India’s space program, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) experienced a launch failure with its EOS-9 satellite mission. The satellite, designed for Earth observation, was aboard a launch vehicle that suffered a critical malfunction during the third stage of its flight, resulting in mission failure shortly after liftoff.

Initial reports indicate that while the first and second stages of the rocket performed as expected, the issue arose during the third stage, preventing the satellite from reaching its intended orbit. ISRO officials have confirmed the anomaly and stated that a detailed analysis is underway to determine the exact cause.
The EOS-9 was expected to enhance India’s capabilities in environmental monitoring, agriculture assessment, and disaster management. Despite the failure, ISRO remains committed to investigating the issue thoroughly and ensuring future missions proceed successfully.
Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
