Mohanlal’s much-awaited action film ‘L2 Empuraan‘ has made a blockbuster entry at the box office. Released on March 27, this film may have received mixed reviews from critics, but the audience liked it very much. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, this film had a record-breaking opening on the very first day. Now on the fourth day i.e. Sunday, the film has earned a great amount.

‘L2 Empuraan’ is getting tremendous love from the audience. Interestingly, a scene related to Gujarat riots in the film was controversial, on which the Censor Board (CBFC) ordered 17 cuts. Despite this, the craze for the film is at its peak. It is even standing strong in front of Salman Khan’s ‘Sikander’. ‘L2 Empuraan’ had an opening of 21 crores on the first day in the domestic market. On the second day, the film earned 11.1 crores, while on the third day it collected 13.25 crores. According to initial reports, on the fourth day i.e. Sunday, the film has done a business of 14 crores. With this, the total earnings of the film in four days have become 59.35 crores.

Made a big record in the opening weekend
‘L2 Empuraan’ has performed brilliantly in the opening weekend. It has become the highest grossing film of Malayalam cinema so far this year. It has left behind many films in terms of weekend collection. ‘Rekhachitram’ had earned 11.36 crores in the opening weekend, ‘Officer on Duty’ did a business of 9.13 crores, while ‘Identify’ earned 5.6 crores. Apart from this, ‘Ponman’ collected 3.97 crores and ‘Praveenkudu Shappu’ collected 3.72 crores.
‘Lucifer’ has a sequel called ‘L2 Empuraan’
Let us tell you that ‘L2 Empuraan’ is the sequel to the 2019 hit film ‘Lucifer’. Prithviraj is also in an important role along with Mohanlal in the film. Apart from this, Tovino Thomas has played the role of Jathin Ramdas, Indrajeet Sukumaran is in the role of Govardhan, while Manju Warrier is seen in the role of Priyadarshini Ramdas and Suraj Venjaramoodu is seen in the role of Sanjanachandran.
