Shalini Pandey, who has made her own identity in South and Bollywood, has recently made a shocking revelation related to her career. In a conversation with Filmi Gyaan , Shalini told that when she was changing clothes during the shooting of a film , the director of the film entered her room without knocking the door . This incident scared her a lot and filled her with anger . Shalini says that she had set some limits at the beginning of her career , so that she could keep herself safe.
‘I have worked with bad people too’ – Shalini Pandey
Sharing her experience, Shalini Pandey said, “It is not that I have worked with only good people in my career. I have also worked with bad people.” She told that there are many types of people in the industry on-screen, off-screen and even inside the crew . Shalini clearly said that she has also worked with a person who was completely chaotic . According to her, “You just have to set your limits so that people do not take you lightly.”
Had to face problems due to not having a film background
Shalini said that she does not come from a filmy family , so she had to learn a lot in the initial days . She said, “I am a complete outsider. I even left my family for this career, so I had no one to return to. There was no one I could ask what to do in such a situation.” However, now when she looks back, she is happy that she kept herself strong and was strict about her limits .
When the director entered Shalini’s van
Sharing a scary experience from her early days, Shalini said, “When I was doing a South film, one day the director entered my van without knocking the door.” She further said, “He thought I was a new girl who had just done her first film. Often newcomers are treated sweetly so that they don’t feel bad. But then gradually pressure is put on them that if they don’t bear it, they won’t get films.”
In anger, Shalini had reprimanded him strongly
that as soon as the director entered her van , ” I screamed loudly . It was not a well thought out decision ,my natural reaction . I was completely angry , because I was only 22 years old at that time . ” Later some people explained to her that she should not have reacted so strongly . But Shalini said that , ” There should be etiquette . Just because I am new , no one can come to my room without permission . I was considered short – tempered ,Shalini said that as soon as the director entered her van, “I screamed loudly. It was not a well thought out decision, but my natural reaction. I was completely angry, because I was only 22 years old at that time.” Later some people explained to her that she should not have reacted so quickly . But Shalini said, “There should be etiquette. Just because I am new, no one can come to my room without permission. I was considered angry, but I just wanted to keep myself safe.” However, with time she understood that one should find a way to face everything wisely instead of fighting .
