The opposition and Muslim organizations have received a big shock regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill, because Uttarakhand Waqf Board President Shadab Shams has supported this bill to be presented in the Lok Sabha today. Shadab Shams said that those who are opposing this bill are not actually Muslims. He said that some Muslim organizations want to target poor Muslims for their political interests.
Praised Prime Minister Modi
Shadab Shams praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said, “Poor Muslims have expectations from Prime Minister Modi, and hence we have named this amendment bill ‘Umeed’. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju is a ray of hope. Prime Minister Modi’s government has decided that it will bring poor Muslims into the mainstream. It is a matter of ’70 years versus Modi tenure’.”
The protesting Muslim organisations are politically selfish: Shadab Shams
He further said, “The opposition had 70 years and what they did is in front of everyone. Waqf was looted, the rich usurped the rights of the poor. Now Muslims are being intimidated by saying that mosques will be taken away. Those who are protesting are not real Muslims. They are political Muslims of Congress, Samajwadi Party, AAP and Janata Dal. Behind them are committees and NGOs like Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind and Muslim Personal Law Board, who want to enter the doors of Rajiv Sabha. They are beneficiaries of Waqf and they fear that their rights will be taken away. We are sure that Prime Minister Modi will support this Waqf Amendment Bill and we will pass it so that poor Muslims get their rights.”
AIMPLB sent letter, protest against Waqf bill continues
At the same time, after JDU and TDP came together in support of the Waqf Amendment Bill, the plan of the opponents of the Waqf Bill has now failed, despite this the protest of Muslim organizations continues. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has written a letter to all secular parties and their MPs, appealing them to vote against the Waqf Amendment Bill. This letter has been sent to the MPs by AIMPLB President Khalid Saifullah Rahmani.
