Manoj himself revealed that during his struggling days, he used to stay hungry all day. He told that when he lived in Delhi, he spent his whole life in a rain coat. He said, “When I remember those days, I start shivering.”
Life in a rain coat in Delhi
Manoj told during an interview that his life was very difficult in Mukerji Nagar, Delhi. The only advantage of the rain coat was that it was cheap. However, after wearing it, it felt very hot in summer and very cold in winter. Manoj said, “If the temperature outside was 40 degrees, then I felt 45 degrees inside. It was like hell.” He also told that in Delhi he used to work for 18 hours and never remained hungry, because he had good friends who used to feed him.
More hard struggle in Mumbai
After this Manoj Bajpayee moved to Mumbai, where he faced more difficulties. Manoj told that he was affected mentally, physically and emotionally in Mumbai. He says, “I used to stay hungry all day. When we used to demand work from the production people, we were thrown out.” Even in this difficult period, he never gave up and finally made his place in Bollywood.
Today Manoj Bajpayee is the owner of crores
Today Manoj Bajpayee is earning not in crores but in billions for his acting in Bollywood. In 2024, he sold his luxury apartment for Rs 9 crore. He charges Rs 6 crore for a film and for the web series “The Family Man” he charged a fee of Rs 20 crore. According to reports, Manoj Bajpayee’s net worth is around Rs 170 crore. On this Manoj said, “My God! Where did Aligarh and a person sleeping on the road get this? But yes, it is true that with the grace of God, my and my wife’s old age will be spent comfortably and my daughter’s future will be better.”
