Former Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Das, who successfully completed his second term at the RBI in December 2024, takes over from Pramod Kumar Mishra, assuming one of the most influential positions in the Prime Minister’s Office.
With his extensive experience in economic policy and governance, Das is expected to play a crucial role in shaping key administrative decisions and supporting the Prime Minister in strategic matters.
